The incandescent spirit of an unfathomable genius



He is one of the most appreciated names in international contemporary architecture, but the Architect Giorgio Palù is also a renowned designer and artist. His creations range from the public to the private sector, with particular focus on residential construction, and are based on technical-material experimentation and technological innovation. Among the most important projects in Cremona we find the “Delle Arti Design Hotel”, which in 2002 was awarded the Architectural Award in London for Best New Hotel, the “Gardens Beyond The Clouds”, a futuristic complex of suspended villas, the “Continental Hotel”, The “Violin Museum” and “Arvedi Auditorium”, for which he won the XXIV Compasso d’Oro ADI in 2016. In the same year he also received the “Eccellenza Lombarda” prize. Many of his works have been published in the most important architecture magazines, such as The Plan, Mark, A10, Hauser, L’Arca and Abitare Ottagono.



The multi-year partnership with Tomas Caporali led the Architect Giorgio Palù and the businessman from Cremona to give life to the adventure which is Metalli d’Autore. In this extraordinary journey, Palù is the designer of many metal furniture objects, but he also plays the role of Artistic Director of the project, impressing with his explosive talent, an alternative vision of the link between art and design.
